Show number two in a row and I sure wish I was seeing the rest of the tour. As mentioned in my post for the show at Festival of Friends in Canada, I was just married on Aug 10th and having the band play in my home town the day after was a gift from G(O)D Heaven. Not the typical day after a wedding but after all we are the most dedicated fans on the planet are we not? And our Twin Flames knew on some sub-conscious level that this music is in our blood and the honeymoon can wait till after the show. Maybe not but we can sure try...LOL
Off we went and arrived a bit early and the venue was as intimate as it get's to see a band of this caliber. We were stage right and the sound was great. Watching the band this close you get to see how intimate they all are. This is a close knit bunch of musicians, a true family of sorts and a pleasure to watch as well as listen. My new wife and I danced the entire night and she was impressed. It's so nice to share music with your partner when they can feel a bit of what you feel, I know for her it was the interaction of the band that pulled her in. I purchased the new CD and it is a "10" as far as I am concerned and makes me feel that there's hope for the future of music when I wasn't so sure the last few years. These new songs are fresh and deep. I encourage you to get it ASAP. Blessings to Mickey for assembling this band and for creating the magic night after night after night. It's takes courage to do this and at almost 70 years of age is not doing this because he has too, it's because he Loves what he does and it shows.
