"IT WAS AMAZING! HAHA, JOHN, BOBBY, THE WHOLE BAND WAS ON FIRE. PLACE WAS BUZZING. I was standing stage left, about 10ft from stage in the GA pit, wow, just wow. John opened up the tour breathing fire, his guitar work was great. If you really love John just going off on solos at shows, that is LITERALLY what the dead shows are. Do yourselves a favor and GO OUT AND SEE THIS BAND. Who knows how many years they have left, they have hit their stride, don't miss out." Much Love, -Deadhead turned Mayer fan

"If that teaser with The Music Never Stopped is any indication, we're in for a good time this summer! That was one of the best versions of it I've heard."

"Yup! Last year's tour kickoff.... That show was special. There was a lot of pent up energy for that one and I think we might have the same Deal here tonight!"

Next we headed up to Phoenix and the AK-CHIN PAVILION for another scorcher.

"I realized the Grateful Dead is greater than one man — and I'm ready to punch my ticket for the ride through their music. Good vibes." ~Phoneix New Times

"With temperatures nearing 100 degrees, the second set scorcher opened with a Weir-led “Lost Sailor” and “Saint of Circumstance,” before Mayer took his turn on “Crazy Fingers.” The guitarists then took turns on vocals for a blistering “Scarlet Begonias” that led into a “Fire on the Mountain,” with Weir on vocals. The percussion section then locked in for an incredible “Drums” and “Space.” ~L4LM
